NEWCASTLE COMMUNITY CENTRE Notice to Organisers & Providers of Entertainment, Bands & Disc Jockeys Newcastle Community Centre -is set in the centre of Newcastle village; the Trustees have received a number of complaints from residents about noise – these have been referred both to the police and Shropshrie Council. We are anxious to prevent this, both for the success of the Centre, and to protect fellow residents from unnecessary late night noise.

The Main Hall is fitted with a music monitor which will cut the power supply if the allowed sound volume is exceeded (power is restored after 5 minutes). Power to stage socket, ends at 1.05 am.

As organisers and supervisors of entertainment we ask for your help by:-

• Setting the volume of announcements and music below the threshold at which the music monitor will cut power to the relevant circuits.

• On hot summer nights when people open doors and windows to cool down please further reduce sound levels until they are closed.

• At the end of the event please ask all present to help us by leaving quietly and promptly.

• Please minimise noise when loading any music systems/equipment etc. after the event Thank you for your help.
